From Family Business to Industry Leader
At C&G Containers, Inc., our journey reflects our dedication to excellence and innovation. Since our founding in 1988, we’ve evolved from a small, family-owned business into a leader in specialized packaging solutions. Follow our timeline to see how each milestone has shaped our growth and commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable products for a range of industries.
1988: Foundation and Early Days
C&G Containers, Inc. was established as a small, family-owned business in Opelousas, Louisiana. Initially focused on general packaging and supplies, we offered a wide range of containers and hazardous material supplies for local industries and small businesses.
1992: Introduction of the Environmental Division
We launched our Environmental Division to meet the demand for pre-cleaned closures and containers for analytical testing of chemical impurities and environmental contaminants. This division follows the EPA’s “Specifications and Guidance for Contaminant-Free Sample Containers” to ensure high-quality, contaminant-free products.
2005: Expansion into Pharmaceuticals
In response to growing needs, we entered the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology markets by establishing the Pharmaceutical Division. This division specializes in Total Organic Carbon (TOC) testing and sampling, following the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) guidelines for Water for Injection (WFI) and Purified Water.
2008: Enhancement of Facilities
We expanded our facilities to include advanced process areas and testing capabilities. This upgrade was crucial for supporting our growing operations and maintaining our high standards of quality control.
2009: Growth and Expertise
We continued to enhance our capabilities by adding key personnel with expertise in Environmental and Pharmaceutical sectors. Our commitment to quality and innovation set us apart in the industry.
2024: New 83,000 Square Foot Facility
We proudly opened a new 83,000 square foot facility in Opelousas, Louisiana, consolidating all three operational divisions —Environmental, Pharmaceutical, and General Packaging — under one roof. The facility features advanced process areas, analytical testing procedures, and a commitment to sustainable practices.
Today: Commitment to Excellence
C&G Containers remains dedicated to providing high-quality products and services that exceed client expectations. Our continuous improvement approach ensures we deliver reliable, contaminant-free solutions across various industries.
